UN recognises ISIS genocide

August — Liberation of Tal Afar
Iraqi forces retake Tal Afar. For Turkmen families, liberation brings new pain — destroyed homes and missing loved ones.

Yazidi Survivors Law
Iraq passes the Yazidi Female Survivors Law, offering reparations and recognition. Turkmen survivors face major barriers to access.

Ten years on — still no accountability
